What changes the price
- Surface area. Ceiling height, stairwells and open-concept floors all add square footage.
- Prep and repairs. Filling holes, sanding, scraping peeling paint and priming bare wood take real time.
- Colour change. Going dark to light, like the green nursery here, usually needs an extra coat.
- Trim, doors and detail. Baseboards, door frames and window trim are slower than open wall.
